This is part two of my “MAC Quad” series. I don’t know if I’ll be doing a third, but if I think of more, I probably will! If you’re new to my blog, this “series” is a way to help you build your MAC eyeshadow collection by suggesting four shades you can play around with/get the most use out of.
I tried including “fun” and unusual colors into the mix, which I hope you appreciate. You can check the first post here. Without further ado, here’s what I have for you today!
Pinky Promise — All That Glitters, Da Bling, Satin Taupe, Sketch
Here’s a quad that’s a little airy-fairy light, but can be built up to a substantial smokiness, or just a bit of drama.
I forgot to number these, so (Your) Left Look:, All That Glitters all over the lid, with Satin Taupe at the outer ‘v’. Crease deepened with Sketch. Outer third of lower lash line smudged with Sketch, which blended into Da Bling. (Your) Right Look: Da Bling on the center of the lid, All That Glitters on inner third, Satin Taupe on the outer third. Sketch on lower lash line.
Smoke & Mirrors — Cork, Mythology, Satin Taupe, Smut
Here’s one that’s a little unusual! It’s warm, fun, dramatic, and neutral all at the same time! Cork is such a great crease color.
(Your) Left Look: Mythology on the inner two thirds of the lid, with Smut at the outer ‘v’. Cork on the crease. Outer half of lower lash line smudged with Smut.(Your) Right Look: Cork on the crease, Satin Taupe on outer third. Sketch on upper lash line.
Soft Drama — All That Glitters, Sable, Sketch, Handwritten
This must be my favorite of the bunch, so far! I am in love with the Sable/Sketch combination, and it’s one of the best discoveries I’ve had so far. I will post a proper look using that in the future, so you can see what I mean. 🙂 Anyway, this quad is for your everyday neutrals, and soft smokey eye. It’s a mostly warm palette.
(Your) Left Look:, Sable all over the lid, with Sketch at the outer ‘v’. Crease deepened with Handwritten. (Your) Right Look: Satin Taupe on the lid, Sable on the outer third. Handwritten on upper lash line.
I hope this was enjoyable and helpful for you! 🙂 Although I like buying palettes (I enjoy the curation that some of them have), it’s fun to be able to mix and match eyeshadows according to what you actually need.
I’ll be doing a third part, so I hope you stay tuned for that. I won’t be able to put it up soon just because I’m quite busy with work will be on vacation in Vietnam for a week. I have no desire to bring my MAC palette along.
Thanks for reading, as always!
I love this series! I’m bookmarking this for future reference 😀 Love the firts quad the most.
Enjoy Vietnam! 🙂
So glad you liked it. 🙂 thinking of more combos haha. And thank you, I shall!
Sketch is a lovely shade 🙂
One of my favorites. 🙂
Love the second one – it’s definitely the more unusual one! Reminds me of a forest floor haha
Now that it mentioned “forests,” I realized I was missing some greens!
Really great suggestions and look Carina! Love them!
Thanks, Taylor!

They all look the same. You could stand to go a little heavier.
Hi Maria, would love to know what you would put in your quad!
