Drugstore Finds: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Iconic*

Revlon - Iconic - Tube

Here’s a quick review on the Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Iconic* which I got in a BDJ Box a few months ago. It’s a really pretty corally pink with a smattering of gold shimmers. It reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm.

Revlon - Iconic - Swatch

The color glides on smoothly, and I didn’t notice any clinging to dry patches or sinking into fine lines. As is typical of the ColorStay formulas, this dries down to a somewhat tacky finish, which is what I would say I didn’t like about this formula. However, this makes it long-wearing. It’s also a little bit tricky because it doesn’t wear off evenly.

Revlon - Iconic - Face

I wouldn’t purchase another lipstick from this line, based on the formula and also because Revlon is not cruelty-free. Still, it’s definitely the kind of pink that I like, so I’ll be holding on to it.

In other news, my face is as big as the moon. :0 What is going on! (JK, I know exactly. I gained some weight and it’s showing in my face, huuuu.)

* This was part of a subscription box sent to me for editorial consideration. I was not compensated for nor required to write a review. Revlon is not cruelty-free.

  1. Carina, you look lovely still, moon-faced or not. ColorStay sounds a lot better than the Super Lustrous range then if it doesnt settle into fine lines. Poor Super lustrous lippies lose their luster as soon as they hit my lips :\

This is such a pretty colour. Too bad about the uneven wear.

  3. I like the color but I hate lipsticks with tacky/sticky feel to it. That’s the reason why I only started using lipgloss.

  4. Ngek you don’t look any rounder than before! I do love the glow you have in these photos.
