Hello from my terrible pun-maker & irresponsible self. Last weekend, I finally went for my long overdue waxing follow-up at Wink Laser & Wax Studio in Taguig. As with most things we mean to do/do sooner, things just got in the way.

Anyway, I first went back in October and had BOTH MY ENTIRE LEGS waxed. This time around, I opted for the half leg just because the hairs on my upper leg/thigh area barely count.

This is me, getting my treatment done. I got an orange room this time around:

I know it’s a funny photo with a lot of possible photomanipulations, but come on guys, we’re all grown-ups here. But I thought I’d talk more about the process here, since I talked a bit about the place already then. Nothing much has changed, in case you were wondering. The premises were still completely spotless. 🙂

I mentioned then that you should go for waxings every 4-6 weeks or so, so that your hairs will eventually thin down. Many people mentioned that shaving causing hairs to grow thicker was a myth, but from my experience, shaving seemed to be the culprit of my leg hair thickness, making it what it is today. My therapist, Mhy, said that my hairs looked thinner this time around. I don’t know if she was buttering me up~ but I’m glad for it.

Here are my legs, post-wax. The waxing part was a bit more painful than the last time. Also, sadly, I have neglected to take care of my legs during hair regrowth, so I’ve got quite a bit of ingrown hair. Mhy said that all I needed to do was exfoliate on the third day (haha) and I’d be fine.

Another ace experience with Wink. I met the lovely owner, Holly Chang, too. She was very sweet, accommodating—and working on a Saturday night!

Anyway, I plan on going there every 4-6 weeks to check if regular waxing actually leads to thinner hair.

Speaking of other planned treatments… If you didn’t already know, Wink also offers Laser services (as the name suggests), and I’ve been thinking about saving up for laser treatments for my armpits. They have a very helpful flier that says that IPL, a procedure I had done already, is not a type of laser treatment, which I erroneously thought before.

Laser treatments are quite pricey, though, so I have to thoroughly think this through and then save up for them since they cost an arm and a leg, which the amputation of both would have actually rid me of unwanted hair already. Hmm.
