At times, I feel like I’ve been “uninspired” when it comes to makeup because I rarely ever do any fun looks anymore, with the exception of certain lip colors… but I realized that it doesn’t really matter because I will use my makeup the way I want to use it. If that means yielding boring FOTDs, then so be it!
For the record, I really like this FOTD, so there’s that.
Anyway, I wanted to build a look around a Sigma Powder Blush in Born To** and once I realized that it’s a little bit mauve-y, I decided to go with a neutral purple-leaning eye, and mauve lips.
I used my very neglected THREE 4D Eye Quad in Star Guitar for my eye look, adding more of the glitter shade than I usually do, to kind of tie in with the silver specks that run through the blush. For a delicate and subtle definition, I did a soft wing with 3CE Creamy Water Proof Eye Liner in #5 Moulin Rouge which is a navy, and warmed it up with an antiqued gold liner on the lower lash line, 3CE Under Eye Flash in #2 Pitter Patter.
Lips are c/o Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lovecraft and brows are c/o the Nature Republic By Flower Auto Eyebrow in 2 I didn’t apply any other makeup, except for under eye and spot concealing using the Glory Boon Heal & Conceal, which I still don’t think I like much? It comes in a “universal” shade, which is frankly too cool and too light for me/my liking.

I think 2015 is going to be the year for soft baby wings and soft smoky eye looks. For me, at least!

your skin is flawless! I’m so jealous! I haven’t heard overwhelmingly positive reviews about the Kat Von D lipsticks, but that shade in particular is gorgeous! Also, simplistic makeup looks can be just as stunning as a complex one 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 They’re definitely not the best lipsticks; I’d suggest looking for a similar shade in a formula you like, but I haven’t had any major problems with this one, personally. 🙂
So chic yet so minimalistic! How perfect!

Glad you think so! 🙂
Can you do a full review on the Glory Boon concealer? 🙂 I’ve been eyeing it on etsy for a while! Also not sure how universal is universal shade….
It’s actually NOT universal, and the mismatch in shade, at least for me, is what’s keeping me from using this thing. 😦
This is so, so pretty. I love the baby wing! I know what you mean about feeling “uninspired”: I keep resolving to do more exciting eye looks, only to fall back on my gray and taupe standbys. But you’re right, there’s no harm in using makeup in a way that makes you feel comfortable and happy, even if it doesn’t result in a six-color metallic smoky eye.
HAHAHA right? I can’t even look at myself seriously when I have so much shit going on in my face. I love colors here and there, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I can’t do a look with a frillion colors and still be in the right mental space to go outside and act like it’s a regular ol’ day.
I love these colors!
Happy to hear that! 🙂
Pretty!
The lip color reminds me of the Revlon Prim Rose.
I love that you created a soft yet defined look without amplifying anything. All in the perfect balance! 🙂
Thank you so much, Lena! 🙂
