I did a desk clear-out of my vanity area and fished out some of the under-appreciated items from the depths of my drawers. Everything I love is lost in drawers, as the song goes. Except Matt Berninger probably didn’t mean makeup. Ahem.
I wore this look to a family dinner, so it wasn’t anything special. I mostly just missed playing with makeup, though. Really playing with it, full stop. I’ve been living in a “throw on and go” variety of looks, so this was a very welcome change.
My base is surprisingly flawless, even with minimal coverage c/o Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint—a product that’s notoriously sheer, to the point of pointlessness, for some people. It’s no secret that I love it, though! I used it on top of the Le Métier de Beauté Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Tinted Complexe in Shade 2, which gives such a pretty glow. It’s a little similar to the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector, but quite different.
I also used the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on my under-eye circles, the redness around my nose, and a few small blemishes. I set my under eye area with the Le Métier de Beauté Eye Brightening & Setting Powder, and the rest of my face with a light dusting of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light. I used the powder end of the K-Palette 2Way Eyebrow Liner* for my brows.
Blush is NARS Final Cut, a beautiful peach I’m excited to bust out in the coming weeks, and contour is my standard NYX Powder Blush in Taupe. Lips are c/o the sheerer lip crème/gloss from Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP box this month.
For the eyes, I primed them with a MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, which looks to be too light for my complexion, currently. Thankfully, the Oslo Cosmetics shadows (their shop has been dead for like a year) in Carinae (a beautiful peachy gold) and A Song of Ice and Fire (violet-blue with violet sparks) stuck to the base. I warmed up the crease with a matte brown shade from MAKE called Khaki*. I lined my eyes with K-Palette’s liquid liner* and slicked on ILIA Mascara in Shadow of a Doubt.
And I believe that’s it!

Beautiful look! I love it 🙂
Thank you! x
Carinaaaa, so flawless! I wish I could do my eyes like you. Have to do something about my skin first though, I’ve really let my regimen go after having my baby.
Yay, thank you! Remember to hydrate 😀
You look beautiful x
Thank you Coco ❤
I love this look! The base is perfect, and that eye combination is stunning, but not over the top.
Yay, thank you Larie! Haha that’s how I roll because I somehow find it very difficult to pull off looks that are too “out there.”
