Sometimes I feel like my compulsion to shop is just that: a compulsion. I don’t need any other makeup thing, to tell you the truth. After I’ve filled my virtual cart with the things I think I need, I click out of the window and look through my stuff. I have a six-slot lipstick holder on my desk and I’ve taken to switching out lipsticks from my considerably bigger case in my big drawer to these slots so I can concentrate on my chosen ones. For April, these are the lipsticks that I’ve chosen.
I don’t know if I’m going to just use these lipsticks for the whole month, but these are the shades that I’ve gravitated towards, for now. I like that there’s no repetition of line and range, though that wasn’t something conscious. I think I’m just tired of wearing the same ol’ matte MLBB when I’m too tired to think!

I think this is a great selection for the hotter days ahead (33°C as of writing, oh man). I think my true lipstick challenge has always been a bright red lip, so I’m looking forward to—as well as dreading—wearing Heat Wave. I don’t know what it is about it that scares me so much! I think layering Cava and Dominique would be an interesting combination, too. I just have to get over the icky feeling of heavy lipstick.
What lipstick are you obsessed with lately? I personally just can’t get enough of Funnel of Love! I love it so much, especially with a soft smoky eye. MMM-MMM! I’m just so excited to wear fun makeup again, haha. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I just wasn’t feeling it.

That’s a nice range of shades, Carina! A little bit of everything! I’ve been obsessed with way too many lipsticks recently. It seems like it’s LIPSTICK SEASON out there, because new formulas keep rolling out and I wish I had an extra pair of lips to wear them all!
