Doing this series made me realize just how much I accumulate, and how quickly. International post duration makes it a bit hard to wrap my head around the fact that I have been buying so much stuff, but I have. And these posts are proof. I know I keep yapping on about accumulation—so I’ll stop—I think I just want to kinda say that “I’M AWARE! I’M AWARE!” but I don’t know what to do after that admission. I don’t want to be the kind of person who recognizes the symptoms of hoarding and brushes it off with a laugh and a few jokes, steadily trudging to the point of no return. But anyway. Hello there! A new batch of “recent acquisitions” and stuff I’ve been testing recently. These are accumulated previous purchases as well as stuff I’ve received from several awesome companies. 🙂 MAKE Colour Post-Impression Palette by We See Beauty I’ve been jonesin’ for these makeup items since the dawn of time (jk, 2013) but never got around to purchasing them because the website doesn’t want to take my money/credit card info. Anyway, I had such a hard time picking a palette—mostly because I wanted them all—but I ended up with this one. It’s freaking beautiful and it’s very “out of the box” for me, but I’m liking it so far. If I love it remains to be seen!

bareMinerals Liner Shadow (Bark) / MAC Paint Pot (Rubenesque) / Le Métier de Beauté Anamorphic Lash Mascara in (Midnight Blue) / Ilia Multi-Stick (All of Me) / Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (Mood Light) I purchase a lot of makeup, but I don’t really like putting a lot of effort into my everyday looks, especially when I’m in a hurry. I thought I’d do a five-product face series in which I feature “full looks” using only five products. I used bareMinerals’ Bark for my eyebrows and my eyeliner and my MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque as an all-over lid shade. I then curled my lashes and added mascara. I used the Ilia Multi-Stick in All of Me as my blush and lip color (over a balm, as it’s a bit dry), and dusted my face off with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light… for no reason. I usually use them as a finishing powder, but I like wearing those on their own, though. I feel like they add a glow to the skin or …

I know I just did a post on my recent acquisitions, but these are some of the other things I just received last week that I’ve been testing out. Unless I meet something I truly love and enjoy using, I don’t think I’ll bother with a full review, so let me know if there’s anything here in particular that you’d like me to talk more about. Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation in Just Sheer After so many months of going back and forth on whether or not I should purchase this, I had a moment of weakness and just went for it. I didn’t anticipate that the casing of this thing would be this heavy. The packaging (which is refillable) is way luxe—even more than Guerlain, which has the most luxurious packaging I’ve met in my life (i.e. weight, feel, look, etc.), so that’s saying something. I’ve been looking to get into some brands that are “cleaner,” and this is one of my explorations so far. I really like it, but let’s see how well this …
