Drugstore Finds: Small Sunday Haul

Flormar, Etude, WnW

Sunday is my drugstore day because my family and I stop by a mall near our church after lunch. Here’s three items I picked up, from L-R: Flormar Supermatte Lipstick in 209, Etude House Apricot Stick in 3 (Apple), Wet ‘n Wild Color Icon Trio in Walking on Eggshells.

Drugstore Lip Swatches

Hand swatches from the two lip products. Left: Etude House Apricot Stick, Right: Flormar Supermatte Lipstick in 209. The two thin lines were leftover swatches from my drugstore trip.

I wanted the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, but they are too expensive here (Php 575 or about $15). The Etude House Apricot Sticks are just Php 198 each and a good buy if you want to try out a similar higher end/more expensive product. It gives good moisture, but it’s not sustained. The shade I got, 3 or Apple, is a light coral pink. It smells and tastes like apple! I like it a lot and will probably get more shades. 🙂

The Flormar Supermatte lipstick (Php 399) “[has a] velvety structure that gives the lips a mat and full look.” It’s a great creamy formula. 209 is a mauve-y pink. When I swatched it in the store, it was an old rose but on my lips it looks redder. I’ll see if I can take better swatches because the picture I have under looks super different. Maybe it’s my lip pigmentation but I’ll try it out more in the next couple of days.

First impression of the formulation is great. I got to try a Flormar lipstick (from a different line) that came in last month’s BDJ Box.

Drugstore Lip Swatches - Face

Flormar Supermatte Lipstick & Etude House Apricot Stick. Pardon my haphazard appearance. I took a nap and thought to post these. 🙂

Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells - Compact

I’ve been looking high and low for Wet ‘n Wild’s Color Icon Trio in Walking on Eggshells (Php 319), which has been raved about all over the world. I like it a lot, off the bat, but I haven’t tried it on my eyes yet. It seems like a good neutral palette.

That’s it for now, thanks for looking! 🙂

    • It seems good naman! I haven’t extensively tried it but yay 😀 I got my Flormar stuff from SM Megamall’s department store!

    • This is my first WnW purchase 😀 I haven’t tried their other palettes, though I want to try Comfort Zone next! 🙂

I love a great drugstore find! And love the colors of the shadows.. Too bad for the balm stains. I have to and I find the colors a bit inconsistent and they aren’t very moisturizing, I’ve been meaning to review them. Xo

  2. Wet n wild shadows are wonderful. So far everything Ive bought has good pigmentation and staying power. All the shades in Walking on Eggshells are mac dupes 🙂 it’s a really useful neutral palette. I also have comfort zone. I really love the darker shades in that one.

    • I know, I super want Comfort Zone but I held back because palettes are my weakness! Haha. 🙂 Maybe next time!

  3. I was on the fence about the Wet ‘n Wild palette but eventually gave in when I saw this post, haha! Got it as well, and it’s so nice, I use it as an alternative to my MajoMajo palette now. The tiny brush that comes with it is crap though. Mine is, anyway. Sheds everywhere!

    • Yay! Glad it’s working out for you. 😀 I hate that stupid brush, too! I’ve been looking for that Majolica Majorca cheek and lip tint you reviewed, but I can’t find it anywheeeere~

    • Hi Fish 🙂 The WnW palettes are available at SM department stores. You can also try Watsons, or Zalora.ph!

  4. I have the same exact Apricot Stick and the same WnW palette :)) Love your blog because we have the same taste 😀
