ASOS Haul: Part 1 + Quick Reviews

Hey everyone! Long time, no see. I present to you the first part of my ASOS haul, ordered way back in January! I love ASOS because it has a wide range of beauty products, and of course, it ships items for free. The downside is that I get items about three weeks to a month after placing the order. If I can wait for the item, then I don’t mind!

ASOS Haul Part I

Now, for my loot, which came in two parts, because I was trying to keep each of my totals under £30.

  • Korres Milk Proteins Cleansing & Make-Up Remover Wipes (£7)
I’ve always wanted to try Make-Up Remover Wipes, so I got this for £7. It’s alright, nothing great. It’s a bit hard to use for eye makeup as well, just because it stings a wee bit. It works okay for the other parts of the face, but I’m sure there are better, gentler wipes that are easier to get a hold of.

    Will not repurchase.

  • Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine (£7)
Great product. I love the smell (not Jasmine, not quite vanilla) and it sits well on the lips.

Will repurchase if I see it on the street.

  • Illamasqua Precision Ink in Wisdom (£17)
This liquid eyeliner is a tarnished gold-green. I love it a lot; it draws a beautiful line opaquely. It’s more glittery than I’m used to and it does sting the eye quite a bit if I don’t apply it carefully.

    Will repurchase.

  • Rimmel London x Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 101 (£5.49)
Very matte, very drying, very pale pink. I despise this color, so I was a bit NGAH! when I first put it on, but now I kind of like it. Pictures and face coming up. Maybe a tutorial?

    Will not repurchase.

  • Paul & Joe Limited Edition 10 Year Anniversary Lipstick Refill (Dragonflies) in Beloved (£12)
I love the color, it’s very near the “web swatch” on the ASOS page, but it’s so shimmery-frosty! I was so surprised because I thought it would be a creamy, shiny finish. I like it a lot, though. But I don’t know if I’ll get much wear out of it.

    Will repurchase in another color

  • Korres Limited Edition Fresh Blend Bodycare Set (Was £12, now £8)
Purchased for Sarie bean, because she likes basil! It’s Guava & Basil. The packaging is superb, I wanted to keep it for myself! These are not my kinds of scents, so I’m glad I gave it to her instead. 🙂

    Will not repurchase.

If you notice, I’ve decided not to repurchase some items. They’re not bad, but I feel like they’re not good enough for me to repurchase when I run out of them. As you can probably tell, I like trying out new items, so now I know not to get which products. 🙂

And here is a picture of Noah for good measure!

    • I used to look at clothes; now I just look at the beauty section! I have a few rings on the way to me here, though. 😀

  1. Oooh ASOS. Maybe when I have enough money. Right now I’m gunning for the Serenity and Firefly DVDs (I am a sucker for commentary haha). BTW, my friend saw you at the Stars concert! Too bad I didn’t see you 😦

    • AH, well, that will be a wise purchase. I love my Firefly DVDs 😀 Aw, I didn’t see you either! 😦 But yay for Stars!

  2. I didn’t know ASOS ships here for free – very useful info for the future, especially for Illamasqua products. It’s too bad there were some disappointments in the batch but I suppose that’s part and parcel of being a beauty junkie. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

    • Yup! Free worldwide shipping, but takes a loooong time. Hehe. Thanks, the next part is all Illamasqua! 🙂 Great blog; I love it a lot!

      • (Sorry if this is a double post, not sure if WP ate my comment)

All Illamasqua?! Then I really can’t wait to see the second half 🙂 I loved their newest collection but decided to focus (and direct meager funds) towards local/regional brands for now. I will just live vicariously through your hauls.

Also, if you’re open to trying other flavors, Korres lip butter in Wild Rose is what hooked me the first time and continues to be my favorite. Lovely berry tint and the smell isn’t overpowering (and not all that rose-y, if I recall correctly).

      • LOL, just 3 products, nothing too exciting! I’ve always wanted to try out the brand. 🙂 Thanks for the tip! Does it leave a stain/tint? I wasn’t sure!

    • I love the lip butter! I think it’s worth the £7 🙂 I hope you’re having a lovely day as well, Karen.

I’ve always wanted to try ASOS!

I’m always looking forward for your online shopping hauls! I badly want to email you and ask for more tips about shopping online, shopping on the actual stores/malls I guess is just not really my thing ( Its not convenient anymore).

And oh, I think I just saw your sister and dad last Sunday at a mall. recognize them from reading your blogs for the past couple of years 🙂

I have never heard of ASOS ’til now..
And I’ve always wanted to try Korres for a long time, I just hadn’t gotten around to doing so…

  5. Ugh subscribing to your posts is like being on drugs; now I NEED to check ASOS out haha. Thank you! (I think! My wallet is shaking its head!)

    • EEP SORRY~! I’ve been trying really hard to be good and I haven’t purchased anything after the last order I made :p

  6. Hi Carina! I landed on your blog because I was looking for shopping reviews for ASOS from Philippine customers. May I know if you were charged custom taxes here? If don’t mind, can you give me a range of how much did you pay?

    Thanks 🙂

Hi there! Was planning to have items shipped from ASOS too. Since you received your package within a month or so and wasn’t charged custom fees, may I know which shipping preference you picked? Most people who had items shipped had to get their things from the post office. Thank you!

  8. Hello, I’m planning to buy on ASOS. and my orders sum up to 38 pounds. Do you think I should keep it below 30? huhuhu I’m so worried. but God damn the sale! 🙂
