Imagine my surprise when I got home to another BDJ Box for the month of July! When the team originally emailed me, I was supposed to get a certain number of boxes to try and I thought my BDJ time was up last month, but I counted wrong… HEH. So, I was so happy to get this month’s because I was eyeing that too cool for school BB Cream!
This month’s box is freaking awesome, by the way. I’m so happy I was sent one. Thank you to the BDJ Box team. 🙂 And for my next trick—pictures!
This month’s box has kind of a “pampering” theme to it, especially with the huge-ass surprise, which I will get to in a minute but you’ve probably read about already. For the standard BDJ Box first, we have the ff. items:
Beach Hut Sunblock (Php 399, 150ml)
YAY A SPRAY-ON SUNSCREEN! This particular one has SPF 75+++ which seems a little excessive, but the more SPF, the better. Especially if you live in a tropical~ country like I do. I still have a bunch of sunblock to get through, but I can’t wait to try this one out. Maybe I’ll open it tomorrow… Hmm.
L-R: Revlon Lip Butter (Php 525), Too Cool for School After School BB Foundation Lunch Box (Php 219, sample), Enchanted Eyeshadow Palette (Php 179)
Scream it with me: MAKEUP! All of which I at least want to try. I’ve been a peddler of Revlon Lip Butters in my non-CF days, but I haven’t bought any since I tried going the cruelty-free route. They are still great products, though. I got the shade Wild Watermelon, which is awesome since it’s one of their new colors.
The too cool for school sample is just perfect, too, because I’ve been wanting to try this for a while. The After School BB Foundation Lunch Box sample (phew!) I got is in shade 1, which is described as “matte skin.” It has SPF 37 PA+++, which is always awesome. Hopefully, I’m not too dark for this.
Lastly, the Enchanted Eyeshadow trio I got is After Midnight, which features colors that look like they are intended for a blue smokey eye. I haven’t tried it yet and I haven’t heard of it before this box, but some people who’ve tried it said it wasn’t very pigmented. Which can’t be helped, really, at Php 179. But we shall see!
UM AWESOME. This is a foot mask that causes your feet skin to peel, revealing baby-skin feet. I have the worst feet. They are dry and gross and I have callouses with layers as deep as the Marianas Trench. Ahem.
Valid for a year… I’ll think about it.
And for my next trick—another box!
Say whaaaat? This big ol’ box is full of Dove products. I suppose that’s their brand feature this month.
Let me take you through all of the items I got.
Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo (Php 106, 180ml x 2) and Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Conditioner (Php 108, 180ml x 2)
Two bottles each of a shampoo and conditioner that aims to resurrect damaged hair. I don’t have a good relationship with the earlier Dove shampoos/conditioners, but the one in the gold-trimmed bottle that my sister used to use was awesome. So I won’t knock this until I’ve tried it.
Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Treatment Mask (Php 235, 200ml)
As I am quite low maintenance with my hair, this is my first hair mask! I’ll let you know how it goes. It is supposed to “restore protein loss and bind proteins to the core of the hair.”
Dove White Beauty Bar Moisturizing Milk (Php 52.50, 135g)
Not a fan of Dove soap (I know, right!), but I like feeling squeaky clean. This will probably go to my mom or sister, both of whom love this product already. 🙂
Dove Whitening Original Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Roll-On (Php 83.50, 40ml) and Dove Whitening Original Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Aerosol (Php 170, 169ml)
If there’s a whitening product I’m on board with, it’s got to be products for armpits. And maybe teeth. And scars. Ahem. Anyway! I currently use the deodorant stick by Dove, so I’m glad for back-ups! I don’t really like roll-ons, so I don’t know if I will try this out or pass it on to someone else instead.
And, that’s it! It’s so funny, but if you’re not extremely picky with products, it almost feels like you can kind of live off Php 580 on personal hygiene, etc. if you subscribe to the BDJ Box. Shampoo and conditioner? Check! Soap? Check! Deodorant? Check! Sunblock, makeup, feet pampering? Check, check, check!
Tellie pointed out that since Dove is a common brand that everyone and their mother has already tried, a lot of people might be turned off by the box (if they hadn’t included the other items, especially), but I actually really, really like this box. One of my favorites, I must say!
Even though there isn’t as many items in the “regular” box, they’re pretty much all things I want to try, which adds to the greatness of it. Quality over quantity, always. 🙂
Tellie also pointed out the annoying card reformat which doesn’t show some of the pertinent information like size/volume of the products, etc. I always appreciate it when the information is already laid out for me, especially when it comes to subscription boxes.
Thank you again to the BDJ Box Team! This has been one of my favorite boxes to date, for sure. 🙂 Now, onto try the products!
* This box was sent for editorial consideration, with no compensation. Some items are not cruelty-free.
I’ve never heard of BDJ box before. The products for this month look awesome! I’m definitely going to check it out!

All of the Dove products went to my mom! Like what you said, I love this box too because since it has brands I’m already familiar with, I didn’t really have to be skeptical about it anymore. I love the shade you got for the eyeshadow! I got a brown and dark brown palette, and I got a dark red for my lip butter. I wish I got a lighter one.
The After School BB Cream is amazing though. It packs inside my makeup kit so well because it’s so small and it smells really nice unlike some BB creams that smell kind of weird (but still works amazingly). I’m a little darker than the shade I got but like what I said in my blog post it sorta worked great towards the end of the day.

I love the smell! 🙂 haha but I agree, it performs really well. 😀
That TCFS BB Cream is my HG! I’m sure you’ll love it as well!
YOU ARE RIGHT I LOVE IT. O_O
Would love to hear your thoughts on the bb cream when you try it out!
Review will be up on Sunday! I like it a lot. 🙂
Too dark for most bb cream, I’m assuming TCFS doesn’t have many shades either, but I would still love to hear your thoughts on it!
Used to love Dove hair products but found out that it’s what caused my severe acne, just wanted to tell you if you try it and then get some spots and blame make-up.
Hi Cel! I have a review scheduled for Sunday, but the long and short of it: I really like it. 🙂
Thanks! I’ve used them before but they didn’t work for my hair type. I gave the hair stuff away, but I’ll warn the recipient!
Ooh, lucky girl! 🙂 I’ve had my eye on the lip butter in Wild Watermelon for a while now!
Have they been released here? I haven’t gone to Revlon in a while, so I’m not sure.
They have! 🙂
Been subscribing to beauty boxes since they started in PH. Have to say, BDJ is the best… Good products, most of the stuff I acutally use!
I have only been getting BDJ regularly, and tried out a Glamourbox, but from looking at unblocking posts and videos, I do agree that these boxes seem to be the consistently good ones.
Would love to see you do a look with that Enchanted palette. I got the same one and I have no idea how to use it! I’ve just been using the black one (quite pigmented actually!) as eyebrow filler and sometimes as eyeliner.
Oooh, lucky lucky you on the Wild Watermelon. It’s one of the newer shades and I got one of the older ones- which I don’t really mind since I don’t have any lip butter anyways. I loved the TCFS and Lip Butter most of all ^^ very current!
Thank you for linking me. MOMMY, I’M GONNA BE FAMASS!
I wanted to try Juicy Papaya, but I love this shade! I love those two and Beach Hut the most 😀
