I am a sucker for beachy, wavy hair worthy of a spot on Blue Crush. (Do you like my dated reference?)
The problem is that I have pin straight, very thick hair that gives a whole new meaning to “pony tail.” Alas, I didn’t inherit my mom’s naturally wavy hair, and nothing ever really worked out for me and my hair. I remember a photoshoot for a magazine where I got my hairz did, and while waiting for everyone else, my curls unraveled so the hair stylist just gathered my messy waves into a side ponytail.
So, the Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes Texturizing Beach Waves (Php 299) was something I was eager to try.
Product Description: ” Summer hair all year round! Embrace imperfection! Tousled , messy sexy beach hair is this seasons latest hair trend! 🙂 Hair Heroes Super Fresh Sage Tea Tree & Peppermint Texturizing Beach Waves Sea salt. Moringa. Softly separates for shiny, sexy, mussed waves. Heat Safe.”
I should have known better, because it did not work for me at all.
It’s a little pointless to show pictures of my hair, but I’ll keep on trying to use up the bottle! I am not a fan of the scent either (which, I should note, lingers), so I don’t really know what to do. Part of me wants to just give it away, but another part—albeit a small one—wants to keep trying. Decisions, decisions.
In any case, this is probably a great product for people whose hair isn’t as stubborn as mine.
Hay naku! We have the same predicament. My hair won’t permit to be curled unless you hold it down with lots and lots of hair spray. Boohoo. I’m too scared for digiperms, maybe I’ll settle for hair extensions. There something effortlessly beautiful with soft curls.
Yikes! Do you have thick hair as well?
It’s funny but I don’t have thick hair, it’s just very stubborn!
need to try this! so sad that i’ve just cut my hair to shoulder length.
You can still have nice beachy waves with shorter hair! I think that would actually look quite nice. 🙂
Hi! 🙂 And here I thought I was the only one who didn’t really like its scent. I don’t particularly hate it, but I don’t like it either. And I have thin hair so I hoped this would give me some sort of body (quite quickly, and yes, ala Blue Crush!) but the effect is really minimal so far. But I still want to keep trying also.. Haha
Lol I gave up. 😦
Sad. I was convinced that this product would work until I read this post. 😦 Anyhoo, thanks for the review.
It really depends on your hair. 🙂 Mine is super thick and resists any type of styling, so I feel like it’s worth a shot if you have pretty manageable hair.
Ladies, I guess it’s how you use the product that causes your frustrations towards it. If you have medium to long hair, just spray an ample amount of product to your hair, gather up your tresses and twist it into a high or low bun. Just leave it like that for a couple of minutes to an hour. Do your makeup, keep the bun even while travelling to work. When you’re already in the office, unravel the bun and voila! You get the beach waves that u’ve been yearning for. I hope this helps. 🙂
Thanks for the tip, but it really doesn’t work on me. :p
