Intertubes are lip thingies from Shiro Cosmetics, aka the place to be for funny geeky people who like makeup, too. I ordered some sample colors during my last weak moment and got for shades: Nyan Cat, Why Not Zoidberg?, Team Buffy, and Sad Keanu. LOL, I mean, really. How did you think I could resist these?
Anyway, I’m happy I purchased these small samples as a test run because I’m not really sure about them. I’ve had them for a while, but I don’t know, they just don’t want to seem to work well on me? Here are some photos of me wearing each color:

Shiro Intertube: Sad Keanu — The type of purple that frightens little kids.
It’s quite a hit-or-miss thing. Some shades feel a bit grittier than others, and some apply super patchily, Sad Keanu in particular. I don’t know. I feel like I have to prep my lips especially well, and these also apply better with a lip brush, which I stay away from as much as possible. I’m a straight-from-the-tube kinda girl and I don’t like extra wiping and stuff like that.
I don’t doubt the quality and the ingredients, but I’ve recently uncovered my hesitation when it comes to these products. The pigmentation is not the problem; I think that there’s just a little too much slip for them to build on the lips properly.
I keep thinking that I have to take into account the weather here as well. Perhaps the humidity or the heat caused a reaction to the products, but I really don’t think that’s the case. It’s a probability, but it’s an unlikely one.
I don’t think I’ll be buying any more of the Intertubes, though I quite enjoy their eyeshadows. In the meantime, I’ll happily use these up!
