Hello, I remembered to post on time this week. Congratulate me! For this week’s Nosy Beauty, I’ve asked Saab to share some of her makeup-y bits. I’m pretty sure y’all know who she is, haha. Anyway, this is a little creepy to say (maybe), but I’ve always loved Saab’s face. When I noticed that she’d been posting a lot more beauty-related stuff, I thought I’d ask her to be a part of this series! If you didn’t already know, Saab blogs over at Spell Saab. She is also an actress and sings in two bands, Duster and Cheats. Hope you enjoy!
I don’t want to treat makeup like a mask, I like to think of it as more of a highlighter of my better features. Also, I don’t like to completely erase my eyebags. I like my eyebags – I think I look so weird without them.
This is my sequence: concealer, BB cream, powder, contour, eye shadow, eye liner, eyelash curler, mascara, eyebrow pencil, brow set, blush, lipstick, highlighter. And I can do all this in 5-10 minutes, usually in the car ride to wherever I have to be! Haha!
It took a very long time before I understood what contour is for and what a difference eye shadow makes. I still don’t think I’m an expert but I’m learning each time I put makeup on. I really like defining my eyes now, like putting a line of dark brown eye shadow right under my lower lashes – it just makes my eyes pop more!
I keep different kinds of lipstick and lip balm in my actual bag just in case I forget to bring my makeup kit. Lately, I feel like concealer, BB cream and powder are too much so I’m going to figure out which I’ll take out of the equation. Probably BB cream haha but I’m just too fascinated with The Body Shop’s BB cream because from white, it really copies my skin tone when I put it on. My concealer is from MOTIVES, I actually have no idea what that brand is but my former makeup artist was selling some makeup from that brand and it works for me!
The highlighter I use is Watts Up from Benefit – it’s just so good, sometimes I skip all the steps and just put lipstick and Watts Up on my face. I spread it on my upper cheeks and above my eye brows. Nakaka-fresh. Haha. The steps I gave are just guidelines of what to use next but I don’t usually do ALL of them. Sometimes I skip eyebrow pencil (MAC Lingering) and just use my brow set (MAC Beguile). It all depends on my mood! 🙂
Yay thanks, Saab! I hope you all liked this week’s makeup bag~ Say hello to Saab’s bb doggy, Joey. 🙂 For more Nosy Beauty, click here.
Coolness! I too hate concealing my under eyes and rather think I look better with my dark circles.
I like concealing, but I pick a shade that’s not too light. Glad you found someone else who shares your makeup preference. 🙂
Wow! This is such a treat, Saab is my red-lipstick hero next to Regina Belmonte
🙂 I featured them both na! Haha yay.
Aaaah fangirling here! Saab is one of my favorite bloggers because she’s a reader and has a dog so I can really relate. I can almost forget that she’s a celebrity when I read her blog. Thanks for featuring her!
Yay, I’m so glad, Pat 🙂
Awwww she’s gorgeous. And that is one adorable dog. ❤
I agree! 🙂 I love her face, lol. Joey is super cute, yes!
Looks beautiful and so natural too
Glad you think so. 🙂
I love Saab!!!! Haha! I’m so happy she got featured here! 🙂
Yay! 🙂
Saab is so pretty. I’ve always thought she was super pretentious but her writing seems so fun and engaging- completely different from what I expected! Good on her for being honest about what junk she uses, I hate it when celebrities pretend they’re cover-shot ready in everyday life :[
Ah talaga? I love Saab! Haha she’s the least pretentious person. 🙂 Her blog’s actually pretty similar in tone to this and she’s super sweet in real life. 🙂 I’m glad you liked this!
