I remember the only makeup my classmates ever bothered with back in high school was a slick of eyeliner and a swipe of a lip and cheek tint. These were super fuss-free makeup essentials then, since you can just put it on in the morning and go about your day, thinking about other things instead. You know, typical high school concerns. Ain’t nobody got time to think of lipstick!
(I also went to a Catholic school where we were not allowed to wear makeup. So we went for Kool Aid lips instead.)
The Verikos Choc Choc Tint* (which I got in Amanda Pink!) comes in a sleek black tube and minimalist type on the side, for which I am a sucker. It promises lip gloss + lip tint, vivid color, and excellent endurance. With a doe-foot applicator, you can apply it with ease.
The consistency of the product itself is a bit milkier than usual gel/tints.
A heavier application will yield a stronger tint.
I’ve worn this all over the lips, and I’m not much of a fan of lip tints these days because they tend to cling to my inner lip while fading away elsewhere.
It’s a nice, bright pop of color, though. Tints are not known to be particularly moisturizing and they can be unforgiving on your lips when they dry down to a stain and you forgot to exfoliate. You can “re-charge” it by applying a gloss or balm over it, though.
I find that my favorite way of wearing this stain is a gradient/ombre lip, where I apply this to the center of my lips and just top off with the Brilliant loveheart lip Essence* we got with it in the January BNT Girls box:
There you have it! Are you more of a lip tint girl or do you prefer other lip products?

Isn’t this just the loveliest shade? So feminine and happy looking ^_^
Thank you, Maria! 🙂
I know exactly how you felt. I go to a Catholic all girls Chinese school and makeup is prohibited by the nuns. I usually can get away with just a light amount of powder. I can never get away with wearing this! But it’s so bright and pretty. 😦
Haha it’s okay! Plenty of time for makeup when you get out of there, and also on weekends. 🙂
It looks really natural and smooth. Great purchase 🙂

Thank you, Pau B. 🙂
I also went to a Catholic school (and an all-girls at that) back in high school! And I totally agree, we got no time to think about lipsticks back then! HAHA Anyway, I like how you apply it ombre-style on your lips. It looked much better! 🙂
Haha yeah, same here, Catholic school, too. Yeesh. Thank you so much, Hazel 🙂
Great Post!!!

Thanks
It’s a lovely bright pink perfect for spring.
I have to admit I never was a big lip product fan (I actually used to tell people when I was a pre-teen that I wanted injections as I was always insecure about my small pout) so it’s only really been the last few years that I started getting into lip products. Most the time I wear balms and glosses but there are a few lipsticks I like. I haven’t really tested out lip stains before. Steph x
I think glosses are your best bet for plumping up lips! I realized they don’t look to good on me, though.
I love how neon it is! Where can I buy?
Hi Chi, as far as I know, online lang. 😦
