The BRTC Jasmine 3D Moist Pack* is briefly described as a “moisture-coated pressed powder for dry skin.” It is part of BRTC’s “Jasmine Moist System,” which we already partly got to try a few months ago, via their Whipping Essence (reviewed here). There is a total of 8 products in the range. The Jasmine 3D Moist Pack is a “moisture-locking compact powder for dry skin.”
The literature (that BRTC products always come with, yay) mentions that the microfine moisture-coated powder in this product is designed to hydrate skin as it evens out skin tones. The “clump-free hydrating formula” also claims to provide protection against UVA and UVB rays, while providing a bright complexion.
The powder comes housed in this orchid compact that has a plastic cover to separate the sponge it comes with from the powder, presumably for hygienic purposes.
The powder is way too light for me, but it blends in really, really well, almost seamlessly. It allows skin to still look like skin, even under some layers of powder. You can kind of see how light it is, because of an unblended area on the right side of my hand.
I’ve worn this alone in this photo, just over sunscreen. Because I found the product to be a bit too light, I chose to forgo application with the enclosed sponge, lest I haunt you with my ghostly visage. Instead, I applied it lightly with a super fluffy brush, but it still made my skin a touch or two lighter. I was kind of expecting that, but I was hoping against it happening. I don’t think it’s that noticeable if you don’t know what my skin color used to be.
As far as oil control, it does nothing much, although it did minimize shine and is handy for reapplication and touch-ups, because it blends out so well. It doesn’t cake or crease, and it fades away evenly. A pretty good powder, if you ask me, especially for people with dry skin, on which powders tend to look… well, powdery.
I’ve yet to use this in conjunction with my Jasmine Whipping Essence, but I think they might work well together if you’re feeling a lighter base in these coming humid months.

This was my favorite product from this month’s box! It’s just so perfect for my dry skin and the dry climate over here. I agree- it’s way too light for me as well, but it turns into more of a ‘brightening’ effect when I use it over BB cream. 🙂

Btw, I always try to comment on your posts but I don’t think they go through for some reason- I think it’s to do with my old wordpress account :S
Hey Kine! I think they’ve gone through? These new ones did, at least. 🙂 I like this product a lot but I think I may have to wear it over a darker base or something!
Ooh, it looks good. =)
Glad you think so! I’m pretty sure this is available in Sasa 🙂
I’ve got pretty oily skin at the moment though, don’t think this is for me. =(
Ah, might not be the wisest choice, yes. 😦
