Super Fave: 3CE Gel Eye Liners

3CE Gel Eye Liner

Hey, all! I thought I’d surprise you guys with a post dipping into my Korea shappeeeen disaster haul starting with these beautiful gel liners from Stylenanda’s cosmetics arm, 3CE or 3 Concept Eyes.

(Speaking of hauls, is that something you’d be interested in seeing? I’m thinking of filming a video, but I’m not sure if people are into that. Let me know!)

3CE StyleNanda Hongdae

I recently called 3CE (or 3 Concept Eyes) my happy place and this is a preview of why that is. I had to tear myself away from Seoul because I wanted to buy all of the 3CE Gel Eye Liners (among other things…), and I’m a little proud of myself for settling on just two.

I’ve tried a few items here and there from 3CE, thanks to BNT Girls, but I actually first heard about them from Wiji. Here are some of my old 3CE reviews, in case you were interested:
A Lip Lacquer in Pink Boom*
An eyeshadow in Saturn*
A Lipstick in Vamp*
A Gel Eye Liner in L.O.V.E.*
An “Under Eye Flash” in African Sunset*
Pink I’m Good Mascara*

Among all the things I’ve tried, the gel eye liners are by far, my favorite. I am not a fan of gel liner, generally, but these are so smooth, pigmented, and effortless. Funnily enough, I did not get to purchase the standard colors like brown or black. I ended up with some fun ones, instead. 🙂

Here, I’ve got L.O.V.E.* which is a pinky cranberry shade, Glitter Red Bean which is a deep brown with flecks of fine purple shimmer, and Glitter Khaki which is a blackened green smothered with a shit ton of gold glitter.

The purple shimmer in Glitter Red Bean adds a subtle purple tone to it, more obvious in real life than any of my photos, and though both of the shades I picked up have “glitter” in their shade names, Glitter Khaki is the obvious flamboyant one. Here is a slightly fuzzy swatch where you can see the level of sheen, shimmer, and glitter present in each shade:

Each pot of gel liner comes with a flat liner brush that I rather like using for these. I am so impressed with these liners because they are so creamy and long-lasting, and the pot that I’ve had for more than a year still hasn’t dried up!

The texture of these are superb—creamy and emollient enough to use as a base for the eyes and also locked in when it sets, so there’s no budging, at all. They’re also really easy to smudge about if you want a more hazy look. I can’t get enough, omg.

The 3CE Gel Eyeliners are about $13 each, close to the price of the MAC Fluidline. I’ve tried a lot of “good” gel liners (not the Fluidlines, though), but these beat all of them by a very, very, very wide margin.

How to Get to the Stylenanda Flagship Store

The Stylenanda flagship store, which is the only one I visited as it was near our hotel, is located in the Hongdae area and is a little hard to find at first because it’s not in the “main roads” where the major shops are found. The full address is: 23, Wausan-ro 29da-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

What we usually do is Google the place, take the Korean address (the address in Hangul) and look for that address on Google Maps. Here’s how you find Stylenanda and 3CE:

  1. Take the Seoul Subway Line 2 and get off at Hongik Univ. Station
  2. Get out at Exit 8 and turn right.
  3. Walk until a dead end and turn right.
  4. Walk straight and turn left at the street between a 7-Eleven and Istanbul Kebab.
  5. Walk the length of the street and turn left at a cafe called La Main Douce, into the 4th junction, Wausan-ro 29da-girl Road (와우산로29다길).
  6. Stylenanda will be ahead, on your right. It is beside Cafe Mono, and across Urban Black, another cafe.
  7. 3CE is on the first floor!

Here’s a map that corresponds with the step number on the list above:

  1. OMG gimme Glitter Khaki already!!! I love L.O.V.E. on you to no end, but it’s probably not something I’d feel comfortable wearing outside of my house.

I say YES to a haul video!

    • I loooove it. 😀 I think Glitter Khaki would suit you very well! Thanks so much! x

Haha yay, I’ll film it ASAP 😀

    Yes to haul showing!
I havent tried any of 3CE eye products yet, only their cream blushers and some chubby stick type things. These look amazing though! Love the smudged liner looks!

    • OK, coming right up! 🙂 I LOVE 3CE. ❤ I wish the base products were light enough for me to wear, though.

Yes to a haul video/blog post!

I recently bought an eyeliner with a color similar to L.O.V.E., the play 101 pencil by etude house. I think purple to maroon eyeliners look really good with Asian skin.

  4. Glitter Khaki looks so good! I have a purple gel liner that I got from Smashbox and I love the color, I’m tempted to try a red one like L.O.V.E this time. Sad that I didn’t get to go to 3CE when I was in Hongdae. I hauled from Innisfree and Nature Republic and other Korean brands instead. Off-topic, but where did you go crazier in terms of shopping, Hongdae or Myeongdong? Haha.

    • Thanks Justine! I shopped more in Hongdae because there were a lot of cheaper street shops and because that’s where we stayed. I really liked beauty shopping in Myeongdong, though, because we got more samples, lol.
