Just a quick post to kind of get my bearings re: this blogging business. I received this a few weeks ago, and have been using it for a little over a month, if I’m not mistaken. So I think it’s time that I talk about it a bit.
To be honest, I wasn’t really expecting much from the Bioré Aqua Rich Whitening Essence* mainly because it seems to be your standard sunscreen and, also, I tend to be automatically averse to anything that claims to “whiten” your complexion. Still, it was worth a shot.
Bioré claims to be “Japan’s #1 sunscreen brand,” and judging from how this performed on me, I can see why. It’s incredibly pleasant to use, especially in this humidity. I find that it’s pretty impossible to find a sunscreen that doesn’t leave your face slick and oily, but this is a true gem. I’ve been using it, with pleasure, every day since I first tried it.
It has the triple benefit of UV protection, hydration, and whitening (debatable as a “benefit!”), all in one. It’s got SPF50 PA+++ which is more than my usual sunscreen, and hyaluronic acid and citrus extracts like orange, grapefruit, and lemon, for added moisturization and glow. The chamomile is what helps with the whitening aspect of this essence, targeting dark spots and freckles.
I admit that I wasn’t planning on posting such a glowing review of this, as it’s pretty boring as far as products go. However, I was so impressed by how it made my skin look and feel, for sunscreen with a pretty dense consistency. It doesn’t leave a white cast, a sticky or unpleasant residue, and it doesn’t make me look like I’m melting. That’s all I really ask from a sunscreen, to be honest.
Biorè is distributed in the Philippines by Vibelle Distribution, Inc and are available in selected department stores, supermarkets, and retailers in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro. For list of outlets and other inquiries: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

I use this too and your review is spot-on! It’s uninteresting, but also very no-fuss and works great! I love how it has such a thick consistency but still applies thin and subtle, no color cast at all. ❤
I love that contrast to it talaga. Surprsingly lightweight but non-greasy! x
