my Pu Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream*

The my Pu Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream* is another skin care product from the BNT Box. I’ve tried a snail system, the Nature Republic Snail Solution Set*, a few months ago, courtesy of BNT as well, but the 3-step process proved to be too tedious for me, so I ended up moving on from the system. Here, we’ve got a single cream that has 70% snail slime. The other variant, Snail White Cream (blue tube), is more intense and contains 83% snail slime as well as hydrolized collagen, which is widely believed to improve skin elasticity. The product itself is a light cream with a texture similar to the other snail solution set I’ve tried. The smell, though, is much more pleasant and fresh. This variant is the lighter of the two and is perfect to use in the summer heat, as it’s designed to help cool and soothe damaged skin. I’ve been using this at night for the past few days after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, as a topper, and it’s working …

Take Two: Sorabee Balancing Aqua Cream*

I’ve been using the Sorabee Balancing Aqua Cream* on and off since first getting it in March. Like I said in my original review, this cream is a bit too light for me for nighttime use. Nothing much has changed since my last review, but I don’t find it to be particularly beneficial for long-term use either. To recap, here are the claims of the Balancing Aqua Cream: A luxurious restorative beauty treatment cream formulated with a complex of vitamins to intensively nourish energize and fortify skin in its fight against environmental stress and the visible signs of aging Excellent for all skin types, especially skin suffering from dehydration, dullness or fatigue. DAYCELL Dr. VITA Vitamin C Cream*

The DAYCELL Dr. VITA Vitamin C Cream* is a “Vitamin Brightening Gel.” It’s part of a range of Vitamin gels by Dr. Vita that target a specific problem. The Vitamin C Cream is a Whitening Cream made to target “dark & cheerless skin,” an abundance of freckles and blemishes, and rough and inelastic skin texture. It has Pure Vitamin C 10%, no parabens or pigments, and provides melanin control, skin whitening and anti-aging. You all know how I feel about whitening products in general—I don’t like them—but if something promises to make my “cheerless” skin (read: dull) better, then I’m going to try it. The Vitamin C Cream also has Kiwi Cell Extract, which apparently contains more vitamin C than apples or oranges, and Aloe Vera Leaf Juice to soothe irritated skin and neutralize dry skin. DAYCELL claims that their product has high concentration vitamin and a patented “nano-coating capsule containing vitamin core ingredient.” OOOH, SCIENCE! Since this is a Korean product, I was surprised to see several eBay UK listings at the top of …

Thank you, some news + a quick review of 3 Concept Eyes x Pink I’m Good Mascara*

Hey everyone! First of all, I just wanted to thank all of you who read one of my latest posts, called All the Things: On Beauty, Buying & Blogging. The response and discussion have been amazing, and I just feel really good that the people who read this blog are super smart and wonderful. 🙂 I’m still a little confused and conflicted about this space, in that I’m not sure how to shape it, but I like that questions are being asked and points are being raised and so on. For the next bit of news… I’ve been holding off announcing this bit of news for a while, but I applied to be part of the next round of the BNT Girls Network and I got in! 🙂 I’m actually joined by two members of the previous batch of which I was also part, namely, Kine and Joanne, as well as two new girls, Doris and Bella. If you’re not familiar, BNT Girls is a Global Beauty Editors Group set up by BNT News, an …

Weekend Spa Session: Dermal Collagen Essence Masks*

Late last month, I received a package from Barbi Chan (!), makeup artist and editor of BDJ Box’s Beauty Ministry. You can learn more about her here. (She has a lot of helpful beauty tips.) Inside the package were 5 of the 29 “flavors” of the Dermal Collagen Essence Masks*, which have been awarded as the best facial mask in Korea. The masks are specially formulated with high quality ingredients that penetrate the skin effectively to deliver essential nutrients. The 29 different flavors moisturize, clarify, regenerate, brighten, and firm according to what your skin needs. All flavors contain collagen and Vitamin E, which are both widely known as beneficial to the skin. The essence is a no-rinse formula. You can tissue it off before applying your makeup, or massage the remaining essence into your face before following up with your usual night cream. Using it before makeup application preps the skin. You can also use them cold (leave unopened mask in the fridge) to de-stress your skin or warm (soak unopened mask in hot water) …

BRTC Jasmine 3D Moist Pact*

The BRTC Jasmine 3D Moist Pack* is briefly described as a “moisture-coated pressed powder for dry skin.” It is part of BRTC’s “Jasmine Moist System,” which we already partly got to try a few months ago, via their Whipping Essence (reviewed here). There is a total of 8 products in the range. The Jasmine 3D Moist Pack is a “moisture-locking compact powder for dry skin.” The literature (that BRTC products always come with, yay) mentions that the microfine moisture-coated powder in this product is designed to hydrate skin as it evens out skin tones. The “clump-free hydrating formula” also claims to provide protection against UVA and UVB rays, while providing a bright complexion. The powder comes housed in this orchid compact that has a plastic cover to separate the sponge it comes with from the powder, presumably for hygienic purposes. The powder is way too light for me, but it blends in really, really well, almost seamlessly. It allows skin to still look like skin, even under some layers of powder. You can kind of …
