Doctorcos Amino Acid Hybrid Sheet Free Mask Advanced*

This is one of the skin are items from the BNT Girls box: the Doctorcos Amino Acid Hybrid Sheet Free Mask Advanced. I'm not so sure what kind of mask it is. Here's what the description on the tune says: “Doctorcos has revolutionized the Sheet Free Mask through its advanced moist veil network technology to provide seven amazing benefits in just one application. This new beauty technology allows a three layer effect to ensure the skin is provided with nutrients, skin pore tightening effects, increased elasticity, intensive moisturizing and incredible hydration capabilities to give skin a soft youthful, dewy glow. No need for external serums, this all-in-one product does it all.” It's a pretty weird product. It's kind of a gel-type cream that's super moist. I can't explain it, but it's really light and watery. When you rub it into your skin, it turns into droplets: Then it sinks into the skin nicely: I still wasn't sure I know what kind of mask it, so I did a bit of research. I found this page …

Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream*

The Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream is a mouthful. It’s also a pretty cool product! Product Description: “‘Super Aqua Max’ is a high-performance hydrating cream which infuses extra moisture and refreshment back to skin with an energizing complex of deep-sea minerals from maritime plants while extracts of chlorella, seaweed, plankton, and water-soluble collagen and hyaluronic acid help to strengthen skin’s ability to defend itself against external aggressors and dehydration.” It’s meant to be used as the last step of daily skin care routine.

State of Skin: Skin Care Routine Update

Hey everyone! To start the year off (my Inglot post was scheduled prematurely, lol), I wanted to do a bit of a basics series. Let me begin with skin. 🙂 This is what my freshly-washed face looks like in the morning. I’ve had pretty good luck with skin and breakouts for the duration of my life—I’ve maybe had 10 really bad pimples in 25 years—aside from allergies, etc. When I started wearing makeup, I started getting problems. I didn’t use to wash my face; I only washed it when I remembered to. In the shower. So, adding gunk was particularly problematic. I had great luck with shu uemura’s cleansing oils (I used the yellow variant/balancing one), but it’s expensive + not cruelty-free, which is weird to say because I’m not sure if the ff. items are CF, but bear with me!

Nature Republic Snail Solution Set: Skin Booster, Emulsion, Cream*

I know that snail secretion in skin care is so 2010, but if it’s been around this long, there must be some merits to it, right? I got to try some items from the Nature Republic Snail Solution line, namely the Skin Booster, Emulsion, and Cream. They’re to be used in that order. What is secretion filtrate anyway, and what makes it so special? The snail secretion filtrate is the trail of muck that snails leave behind on the ground. This is what they use to coat their delicate underbellies from getting torn or scratched when they crawl. The snail secretion filtrate in these products are procured by Nature Republic “from pristine areas.” The Skin Booster is a toner that has 90% snail secretion. It is used for “Revitalizing & Moisturizing,” with a boosting function that improves damaged skin. It supposedly brightens the skin and reduces wrinkles, and makes the skin look healthy and luminous by providing vitality to distressed skin. As the first step, the Skin Booster is to be applied first, right after …

Verikos Collagen Tightening Cream*

The Verikos Collagen Tightening Cream is a pretty interesting skincare product that I am super attracted to. Without the bells and whistles—or starfish and snail mucus—just your hydrolized collagen. Collagen is the selling point of this product; rightly so because collagen is a main component of skin connective tissue that takes up 70% of the skin and up to 90% in the dermis, on average. It’s known for moisture retention and elasticity control. The Verikos Collagen Tightening Cream is: — an anti-wrinkle functional cream — 5 free formula for sensitive skin type — nutritious and elastic skin care It “creates a moisture barrier on dry skin and the adenosine and collagen strengthen the skin barrier for hydrated and firm skin.” Aside from being perfect for dry skin, I appreciate how this product aims to have long-term effects by strengthening the skin barrier instead of just treating the dryness, for immediate relief. It contains amino acids for skin nutrition, too, helping peptide and adenosine enhance the collagen matrix in the skin. In effect, the skin becomes …

Verikos Aloe Calming Oil*

The Verikos Aloe Calming Oil* was actually the first item from the bntgirls November box that I pulled out first. It has a very earthy, organic look to it and I’m a sucker for aloe and clean design. There are also a small number of ingredients in this, so I know that it’s not full of crap at least. Sarie actually asked for this, if I didn’t end up enjoying it, but I actually really liked it. So I kept it for now. The Aloe Calming Oil “raises skin that is under stress by an outside hazardous article, moistly and comfortably.” I’m taking that to mean that this face oil is a moisturizer for stressed skin. Aloe is actually known to be soothing and moisturizing as well. Like my usual experience with aloe, it does not really give my dry skin enough moisture. I have been using it at my desk—I work from home and don’t usually wear makeup if I don’t have to, unless I’m testing stuff out—and also under a heavier moisturizer at …

First Impressions Review: BRTC Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream*

Today’s dose of bntgirls goodness comes in the form of the BRTC Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream. I received the Jasmine Whipping Essence last month, and it was one of my favorite items, so I was fairly excited to have received this eye cream. Like the Jasmine Whipping Essence, the Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream has Blue Phyto ComplexTM, which is a special BRTC ingredient containing ECOCERT-certified lavender water. It alleviates skin stress, prevents skin dryness and itchiness, and softens rough, scaly skin for the health of your skin. The Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream is the 3rd step of BRTC’s Multi-Vital10 System, which is a skin-brightening program with Vitamin Complex to prevent skin-darkening and to brighten complexion. There are 9 steps all in all, which sounds excessive but the system incorporates everything down to the hand cream. The Bright Eye Vitalizer Cream is a vitamin eye cream for delicate & wrinkle-prone skin around eyes, with whitening effect. It is also for intensive moisturizing and has “over 10% of 10 kinds of vitamins and plant-driven nourishing, brightening ingredients …
