ILIA Beauty, a “green beauty” brand, has steadily become one of my favorites these past few months. After first trying out the Multi-Stick and the mascara, I have somehow accumulated five of their tinted lip conditioners, three lipsticks, and a lip crayon. I don’t know how that happened either.
Because I purchased them so quickly, I don’t think I have been able to really speak about them, besides the standard “I like ’em!” This isn’t really going to be a full-length review on every single one of them (mostly because I’m not in the mood to wax poetic), rather a sort of overview of each of the items I have managed to try.
First, I’ll talk about the mascara (not pictured). Somehow, I picked up Shadow of a Doubt, which is a brown mascara… which I don’t normally go for. However, this one is a great mascara, besides its tendency to clump together in the tube. I wore this a lot when I went to the States, favoring it over two others I had.
The Multi-Stick, which I got in All of Me, is supposedly good for the cheeks, lips, and eyes, though I mostly just use it for the cheeks. It’s a great shade and formula—a constant companion on flights (I went on a few…) when I need a quick look after alighting the plane.
The Lip Crayon, I have in Dress You Up, which is a really pretty shade. The lip crayons are OK—nothing too extraordinary, but definitely a good formula if you—for some reason—were looking for another lip crayon to try.
Next up: the lipsticks! I have three shades: Funnel of Love, which has been a favorite natural nude, Femme Fatale, a pretty muted red, and Ink Pot, which is a color that I wouldn’t usually get—violet. I love the formulation of the lipsticks: just enough pigmentation with smooth application, a beautiful selection of colors, and a semi-matte finish.
Used: Ink Pot (L), Funnel of Love (R)
Last, but not the least: the tinted lip conditioners. These are sheer lip products designed to provide sheer (but buildable!) color, as well as to condition the lips. Let me tell you straight up, these are extremely slippy, especially the lighter colors, which presents a conundrum when you want to layer it on to build opacity. Crimson & Clover is not as slippy, but it is also the brightest shade I own. Dizzy is a bright melon that I surprisingly enjoy a lot, and Shell Shock is a beautiful pink that brightens up the face in an instant. Blossomy Lady is probably my least favorite, just because the color doesn’t really suit my skin tone, and I haven’t really used Bang Bang much, but it’s a great gateway to a red lip.
Used, clockwise from top left: Shell Shock, Blossomy Lady, Dizzy, Crimson & Clover (applied lightly)
So far, I have been extremely pleased with the brand (obviously) and am looking to try out more… when I run out of other products. Which will probably be never. Because I hoard them like the apocalypse is ringing in tomorrow. In which case, I’d be super happy with this handful of ILIA products, something I doubt I would be thinking about during the apocalypse, but there you go.
The price point isn’t that scary, if you’re looking at more luxe options for green beauty (ahem, Kjaer Weis, ahem) and the colors are so fun—something that’s uncommon with a lot of green beauty brands.

I love Ink Pot! At least partly because of the name.
…. Same. Lol. I fall in love with names, esp. if they really suit the shade.
Ooh these look so lovely!
Indeed they are 🙂
Hi Carina, these look so lovely! I have heard SO many good things about Ilia. Where did you buy them? Are they available locally where you’re from or did you get them shipped? I live in Indonesia but I have a friend in the US who can help me shop so I’ve been looking for an online stockist with free shipping to the US hehe. Thanks!!
I got them shopped from Net-a-Porter and Eco Diva Beauty. 🙂
This brand sounds absolutely stunning! I really haven’t heard much about it and I don’t think it’s very accessible from where I live, which is a shame! The lipsticks and tinted lip balms look gorgeous.
Tasha // shiwashiful.
I usually order online so “accessible” to me just means that they ship here to where I live, lol. They’re great and I hope you get to try them out one day. 🙂
I really want to try this brand, specially the lipsticks. I was waiting for more reviews x
Thanks, Coco! Coming right up. 🙂
Funnel of love looks lovely on you! I think it is similar to MAC Shanghai spice. I have been wanting to get my hands on these since Essiebutton featured them, but alas! I have too much stuff. hehe.
Thanks Laura. 🙂 I’ve heard of that shade before but I don’t own it. Ha, I wish having too much stuff stopped me… I will have to give it a fiercer try!
Ink Pot! Such a beautiful shade!
Thank you, belly! X
Great collection. I’ve got myself an Ilia habit too recently though I have mostly lip glosses. I’ve just ordered Ink Pot and looking forward to using.
Yay for Ink Pot! 🙂
Ilia is on my radar… just seems pricey…but I’ll have to start saving for one of these 🙂
ILIA is amazing, but some colors really are too sheer for my liking!
i keep saying i will try this brand when i finish up some stuff… which will be never… so i guess i’ll never try this! LOL
HAHAHA I feel the same way about so many different brands, cough Jouer, cough.
