A quick post to highlight some of my favorites this month! As you might have probably noticed, I had a “beauty slump” in the past few weeks. I’m getting back into it now, but I was pretty into having a routine this month. I’ve got a few makeup bits here, but most of it is some type of skin and body care.
Skin Care
Sibu Beauty Seabuckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser — I use this every night and it truly makes my face feel so clean. I’m already kind of dreading running out of it because I had to order it from Sibu, when they had a 60% Black Friday sale last year. I love it, it’s been treating my skin really well.
Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator — This came in a travel set I bought last year and I mostly use it as a moisturizer when I’m traveling. (I use the One Love Organics Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm and Indie Lee Squalane Oil when I’m home.) It absorbs really quickly into the skin and is great for prepping the skin before makeup, especially when you’re traveling and want to condense your routine as much as possible!
Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm — A refreshing body moisturizer in a small, travel-friendly bottle. This was part of the travel set I got as well and it’s an awesome, soothing and hydrating balm for your stressed out skin. I love falling asleep with this on because the citrus scent is so relaxing.
Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask — ever since coming back from the beach, my lips have been so dry and chapped. This is the only one that really makes me feel a difference in the condition of my lips and the one that has really been treating it.
Hair Care
Ilog Maria Honey and Propolis Shampoo — Ilog Maria is a local honeybee farm and this is a natural shampoo I saw in the bathroom I shared with my siblings. I have been having an extremely problematic scalp and the only thing that seemed to have helped my own personal snowstorm is this shampoo. It is literally a godsend and I am so happy I found it. I noticed that it’s dried out my hair a little, though, and it recommends trying out calamansi as a natural conditioner. I haven’t tried that, but I do like to keep my conditioning to a minimum (every 3 or so washes).
If you’ve been suffering from an itchy, dry, and flaky scalp, you can find it here.
Makeup
Warm browns in my crease & outer v — I’m all about the warm smoky eye as of late! I’ve been extensively using shades like shu uemura ME medium brown 885 and MAKE Brick from the Celeste e Verde Palette* and I’ve no plans of stopping soon.
K-Palette Real Lasting 2Way Eyebrow Pencil in 103* — I’ve been loving this pencil-powder duo from K-Palette for a strong and defined, yet natural brow.
Le Métier de Beauté Blushing Bronzed Duet in Romeo & Juliet — Ever since getting this, I couldn’t stop wearing it! I’ve been realizing that I’m not much of a blush person, in terms of wearing them… which doesn’t bode well for my current ginormous stash. But that’s what I get for being a hoarder. ANYWAY. This imparts the most beautiful warmth on the face. It’s so pretty. Good news, too: it’s permanent!
YouTube
I don’t normally have a YouTube favorite, but this video by Cami is the BEST and sums up a lot of my feelings towards YouTube culture in general. No, really.
And that’s it! Those are my favorites. Please share some of yours in the comments below. 🙂 Thank you for reading, as always!

I have a very sensitive/itchy scalp made worse by the horrible cold and dryness of winter. I do this once a week and it has helped tons!

I also use Lush’s Superbalm once a week to moisturize it. Wish i could try the ilog maria shampoo!
Awesome, thanks for the link!
I don’t have a sponsored blog in any way. I don’t even get paid for adverts either. I love my blog. I do have great integrity and i do write from both sides of the argument. I know what she means though but the truth is, we all know which blogs are sponsored.
Your blog is amazing! 🙂 I love reading it. I don’t take it against people who are sponsored, but I agree that you can tell which ones are running purely on sponsorships and samples.
Thanks Carina xx
I knew it! That blush/bronzer compact is from LMDB. Why do they have so many pretty stuff?
Haha nice no? I like that their collections are small lang rin cos super expensive! 😦
That blush & bronzer duo looks sooooo pretty! Nice picks 🙂
It’s very pretty! 🙂 Thanks so much!
Cami’s video was my absolute fave. Don’t normally watch a lot of vids but it’s very articulate without being preachy nor combative. I agree with most of her concerns (commercialization and homogenization, in particular) but honestly have not yet made a solid stance on those issues.
