Kainda Sensuous Body Wash in Jasiri*

Hey all! We gotta stop meeting like this, I guess. I was gearing up for a Beauty Blog Revival, but then… I got a job! Like, a full-time gig, which I haven’t really had since 2010/2011. So, this explains my absence, I hope? I was losing interest in beauty for a while, too… in a way that it overwhelmed me, but I’m starting to get excited about it again, so that’s a great thing, I think. 🙂

Anyway, I wanted to post about something I’d been meaning to post for a while, but haven’t gotten around to. The upside is that I’ve been using it for a pretty long time and found that I still like it.

The Kainda Sensuous Body Wash* (PHP 649) could just be your typical, run-of-the-mill body wash, except it’s not. Kainda is a pretty interesting brand to begin with: a plant-based, cruelty-free brand that places an emphasis on sustainability as well as utmost care for the self. Aside from bath products, they have laundry detergent and surface cleaners, for the whole natural overhaul.

The Sensuous Body Wash contains hemp seed oil (for softening and soothing the skin), honey and aloe vera (for hydration), and lavender (to soothe both mind and body). It surprisingly lathers up very well and is a joy to have in my rotation of body wash—of which I’m inexplicably a hoarder.

The scent I received is called Jasiri, which means brave. It’s a fruity scent—mainly consisting of apricot, peach, and green leaf—but has hints of floral and woodsy scents like jasmine and cedarwood. It’s not as masculine/crisp as what I usually go for, but I like using it at the end of a long day, when I want to feel cozy. You can double up the scent with the matching body lotion, too!

Kainda uses natural scents, too, refraining from using phthalates, nitromusk, and any of their derivative compounds, since they have known carcinogenic properties.

Another aspect of Kainda that I appreciate is that they pay attention to packaging, too, using carton that is partially recycled as well as a type of plastic that is recyclable. They’re actually pretty transparent with their methods and resources, so if you have any questions, you can visit their FAQ here.

Anyway, I really like it! Here’s the ingredients list if you want to know more about that:

Ingredients
Aqua, Guar Hydroxypropyl Trimonium Chloride, Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Sodium N-Cocyl-L-Alaninate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Alkyl Polycoside C10-16, D-Panthenol, Parfum, Polysorbate, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Trisodium Salt, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone/Methylisothiazolinone, Lemon Balm, Chamomile, Comfrey, Honey, Lavender, Hemp Seed Oil.

I know I keep saying this, but I’m on my way getting back on track with updates. I just had to settle into my job for a bit, that’s all. 🙂 Hope you’re doing well.

If you posted something on your blog that I missed but shouldn’t have, please leave a link below! I wanna catch up. Really, this is an invitation for links. Please, indulge me. x
