Nosy Beauty Vol. 19: Maria

Hello and welcome to this week’s Nosy Beauty! Today, we have Maria, who is one of the most talented makeup people here on WordPress. Her eye looks are always so creative and elaborate. 🙂 She actually recently made a 3 Product Face, though managed to look stunning, still. 🙂 As you know, my name is Maria and I blog at http://www.amriaa.wordpress.com . I am a med school student in my fifth year and that takes 80% of my time, but I do find moments to blog and talk about what beauty products I use. I also enjoy reading other people’s blogs and I tend to fall asleep doing so nearly every night. I am interested in all things beauty, especially makeup, as I find it makes me look and feel like a whole new person when wearing it, and the best thing is you can look different every time your wear it. I love colours, they make my every day better and that’s why I try to wear them on my eyes as often as …

Nosy Beauty Vol. 18: Alene

On this week’s edition of Nosy Beauty, I have none other than Alene of Paper Kitties. I found Alene’s blog through the bntgirls network, set up by bnt news. We were part of the same batch. 🙂 Paper Kitties is full of posts about beauty, lifestyle, and travel. Hi everyone, my name is Alene! Whilst I work as a full time Accountant in Singapore, I take great joy in being a part-time lifestyle and beauty blogger 🙂 I suppose you can say that this is where I get to destress from work and do something I absolutely love. I am also an instagram addict (follow me at Paperkitties) who loves posting snapshots of my daily life. Travelling and experimenting skincare products are my favourite so I reckon these two topics tend to be written much more passionately than the others. In June 2013, I was announced as the Laneige Ambassador for Singapore and it had since opened doors of opportunity for me that I can’t be more grateful of! “Less is more” has always been …

Nosy Beauty Vol. 17: Natalie

Yay, it’s back! Did you miss Nosy Beauty? I sure did! If you’re new, Nosy Beauty is a series on this blog where I pry into the makeup bag lives of different people. Lucky for me, they oblige. 🙂 This week, we have Natalie! She is currently a student and she is definitely one of the bloggers whose posts I look forward to. Aside from posting reviews, she does FOTDs quite often and is adventurous with her makeup—something I certainly wasn’t when I was still in school. You can check out her blog here. This is natural makeup for me. It’s definitely not a no-makeup makeup look—you can see colour, but it’s nothing overwhelming. I believe makeup should be fun, and should be something that you play with. I like the way it can change an entire look or outfit. Your makeup is your most powerful and versatile accessory – it’s easy to change up a look with just a different lipstick, or using the same quad of eyeshadows differently. I also like to think …

Nosy Beauty Vol. 16: Macy

Guess what? Macy sent in her answers for this Nosy Beauty feature right after I posted Tellie’s (in which, if you recall, I said I didn’t have any features for the coming week). Talk about a life-saver! 🙂 Thanks, Macy! I met Macy, as I meet all of my friends apparently, over the Internet. 🙂 We followed each other’s journals, I think as far back as high school for me, and I watched her grow up and forge a successful career for herself. 😀 I finally met her in person a few weeks ago! Hello, I’m Macy. I work as Candymag.com‘s managing editor and I also bake on the side for Macy’s Fields. I’ve been a citizen of The Internet for as long as I can remember. So in the past 16 years or so, I’ve left a trail of abandoned blogs and websites. So far, I’ve managed to keep updating thebestkindofnice.blogspot.com, where I write about the things I love: food, words, and things I make with my hands. I don’t usually have a kikay …

Nosy Beauty Vol. 15: Tellie

For this week’s Nosy Beauty—the creeptastic series in which I peek into other people’s makeup bags, and take you, dear reader, along with me—we have Tellie, from Beauty By Tellie. You might know her as the blogger who has tried all the subscription boxes known to man (in Manila), but I’m pretty sure you love her for her honest reviews and funny funniness. I found her blog through Bea of The Dalaga Project, and though I am not really a subscription box person, it’s still one of my favorites to read. Hello, I’m Tellie! I work as a Compliance Officer in our family’s chemical trade business. I’m a huge Chemistry geek (though I didn’t take the course) and often can be found reading ingredient lists instead of Reader’s Digest, Archie comics or my smart phone when I’m on the throne. Sadly, the work doesn’t do a lot of CSI lab stuff and is really full of your ordinary corporate blah blah blahs. Minus makeup and the boring corporate blah blahs of everyday work, arts and …
