Hi everyone! I’m back from a (sorta) beach trip, which I hope explains the absence. I have been quite busy and then I jumped into a holiday, so. I guess that means I left y’all here. Ah! I was met with the BDJ Box for May 2014* when I got home from Puerto Galera. Thank you, BDJ Box Team! It was a sweet surprise. 🙂 For the past few months, we’ve been getting so much makeup, I didn’t know if I could handle any more of it (a lie), but I was so happy to see what we got for this month (not a lie)! May 2014’s theme is Summer Radiance. I think it’s kind of a stretch, since I got a strange, albeit great, mishmash of products. I think they all serve their own purpose, theme or no theme. On Saturday morning, I woke up to a super surprise from the BDJ Box team! They sweetly sent me April’s massive box to try out. BDJ Box is one of the country’s leading subscription boxes for beauty-lovers. I think they probably have the best record for hitting home runs with their boxes, in terms of both value and excitement. Hey everyone, just a quick post for today. 🙂 Before I left for Japan, I had gotten the March box from my Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP Subscription. For those not in the know, it’s basically a monthly subscription box from Le Métier de Beauté. The box’s set-up is an upfront payment for all 12 months. Each box costs roughly around $30, and this is the seventh box so far. If you’re curious about the subscription, here are my posts on it. Sign-ups open back up after this round is done. Boxes often come in this manner, with crinkly shredded black paper as the padding, a handwritten note, and a beautiful box tied with a black LMdB ribbon. Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP February 2014 Box

Yay for a super early February box from the Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP Subscription. I kind of explain it a little and gave a 6-month recap over here, but for today, I’ll be showing you what I got for the February box, aka the Valentines one. First up, I have a Colour Core Moisture Stain Lipstick in Riviera ($32) which is a very warm, orange-toned red, aka the worst shade you could probably give me. Next, I’ve got two Nail Lacquers in Wango Tango, a punchy coral, and Cocoa Cabana, a creamy café au lait ($18 each). Again, two colors I’m not really interested in. Swatched, L-R: CCMS Lipstick in Riviera, Nail Lacquers in Wango Tango and Cocoa Cabana The lacquer formula is decent, though I wish I had gotten colors that were more up my speed or just ones that went well better. I have slacked off on Le Métier de Beauté's Beauty Vault VIP posts, having stopped at the January one. Truthfully, I waited a long time before finally picking this up at the mail forwarder. I look for spoilers and when I saw what was in the January box, all desire to retrieve it left me. LOL, a tad bit dramatic, but after such a great run of products, who wouldn't find a single bottle of makeup remover disappointing? January Box The January box came with no information card at all, so it pretty much heightened the feeling of “Is this it?” However, I have to say that I am a fan of bi-phase makeup removers. My favorite is Laneige, but this is really excellent. There was a bit of a kerfuffle with this box, too. A user on the forum I go to (Makeup Talk) found an identical product sans the brand name on Amazon, selling for $29.99 and was on sale for $19.90. The December box of the Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP subscription was a real treat. Their inaugural box already had a kaleidoscope, and although I got a lip kaleidoscope instead of an eye one, I wasn't expecting to see another kaleidoscope in this subscription, especially not this soon! To recap: The Le Métier de Beauté Beauty Vault VIP* was a subscription launched in July 2013, as an all-in one-year subscription, paid upfront. Sign-ups were closed soon after and will open back up after this round is done, so around July 2014. The first box was sent in August 2013. So far, we have received excellent products in the first six months. I’ll post a different recap post when my January item gets here, although I already know what it is because I can’t stay away from spoilers!
