Lipstick Week, Day 4: Go Nude or Go Home

My title sounds like a nicer way of saying “TITS OR GTFO,” but I promise that it’s not! Day 4 is about the perfect nude lip! Sorry for the slight lateness. I usually try to post my posts before noon but I had to do other things today. Still, I made it on time. 🙂 It’s no secret that I very much prefer quiet, unassuming shades to the loud ones. I’ve learned that my Bold Lip BFF is any kind of deep plum, but I don’t think I’ve found my BEST NUDE EVER~ shade quite yet. A nude lip is the perfect companion to a lot of makeup looks, especially if you want to do smokey eyes or anything super colorful. FOTD: Gold-Aubergine Gradient & a Nude Lip

Hello everyone! I just thought I’d write about today’s look, just because I worked with mostly cream shadows today and that’s a first for me. 🙂 I also dug up one of my first and favorite lipsticks—MAC’s Jubilee. This is just a simple look I wore to lunch with my sister Isabel, and Sarie. My base consists of Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation in Cheers to Me Champagne and bareMinerals Mineral Veil. Part of me wishes I got the Mineral Veil with SPF, so I can go out without foundation but still look polished. Ah, well. For the eyes, I patted on MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque all over the lid. On the outer v and outer half of the crease, I applied Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Stiletto. To deepen said crease, I put on a little bit of Sexy from theBalm Nude ‘Tude Palette, and then I blended out any remaining harsh edges. First Nature Republic Haul!

A few weeks ago, Patty alerted me to Nature Republic’s February markdown sale, so off I went! Nature Republic is a Korean brand, by the by. The name would suggest that. I asked for a list of recommendations and I just pretty much got what she told me to get (I am a sheep) because I was in a hurry. Here be my loot! Products in focus: Shine Blossom Rose Blusher (04 Lovely Rose), Aloe Vera 80% Cleansing Gel Cream, Sleeping Tonight Lavender Sleeping Pack. I will get into the blusher down below, but let me talk about the other two products in focus here. OK, so Patty advised me to get all of the items here, except for the Sleeping Pack, which I just got to make my purchase reach Php 1,000 for a free membership.
