Hey everyone! Here’s another edition of Stash Shopping, which is when I look over my current collection and commit to use some selected items for an entire week. I’m on my third week, and it’s been fun.
I actually asked the last time if you wanted to see some looks I wore using the selected items and received a mostly favorable response, so before I get into this week’s “haulage,” let me share some looks I made the past week, mostly using the bareMinerals READY 8.0 Eyeshadow Palette in The Cocktail Hour (reviewed here):
Just a disclaimer, I work as a freelance writer and graphic designer, so I don’t wear makeup everyday. 🙂
For this first look, I used the coral (Spiked), the taupe-y color (Invite Only), and the purple (Swanky), in that order from the inner corner all the way across the lid. I wore this to a meeting and some errands.
I used the Revlon Mineral Blush (Roseberry), and the Maybelline Lipstick (Chestnut) that was also in the box, but I topped it off with a Le Métier de Beauté Lip Crème (Café Crème), which had rubbed off by the time I took this photo.
For the second look, I used bareMinerals’ Hyacinth (see here), and Spiked (the purple) on the mobile lid. I smudged a bit of Spiked on the middle of the lower lashline, and Black Tie Optional (matte black) on top of that, going outward. I used Icebreaker (shimmery nude) as a highlight for the inner corner. I wore this for a Saturday day + night out. 🙂
I lined the outer half of my lower waterline with Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in black. I layered on the Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara in black over the Le Métier de Beauté Anamorphic Lash Mascara, also in black. For cheeks, I used the same Revlon blush, and a bareMinerals Luminizer (The Love Affair). I think I used Maybelline Chestnut for my lips again, but I’m not quite sure!
For look no. 3, I just used Libation (champagne), and Shaken Not Stirred (navy) because we were running late.
Again, I used Revlon Roseberry, and then MAC x Archie’s Girls (Betty Bright), for which I am desperately looking for a dupe!
That was really satisfying. I used most of the items I set aside. 🙂 Now, onto this week’s stash!
I have a lot of stuff to try out this week… Heh!
CHEEKS — from my Project 10 Pan: Smashbox Whipped Blush in Dusty Rose and Revlon ColorStay Mineral Blush (Roseberry). Plus, a more neutral but oft-neglected choice: NYX Powder Blush in Raisin
EYESHADOW — Chanel Ombres Fleuries in Délicatesse, Benefit Lemon Aid, LUSH Sophisticated, yet Shadow Sticks in Nude Pink & Bronze, Shiro Cosmetics eyeshadow in Rebellion, Everything Is Bears, Victory Road, and Badger
I want to use up Lemon Aid (part of my Project 10 Pan), but it isn’t performing the way it used to, so I’m worried it’s gone bad. I’m thinking if I should keep using it or just throw it out to be safe. For another base, I picked LUSH’s Sophisticated, mostly because these have a super sad shelf life (aka: short) so I have to use it up by January.
I have a beautiful Chanel quad that’s light and Spring-y, actually, but I think this will maybe play well with the other colors here, and darker lips. No? Okay. Then, I have 4 random loose eyeshadows from Shiro, as well as 2 shadow sticks from a Korean brand called y.e.t., that I want to test out.
EYE STUFF — NYX Eyeliners in Moss, Emerald City, and Taupe. Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara
I bought these and then I forgot about them. I also have the current mascara in rotation.
LIPS — from Project 10 Pan: Maybelline Lipstick in Chestnut and Revlon Lipgloss in Bordeaux. Plus, MAC Lipglass in Flight of Fancy
Aside from the mainstays, I have a MAC Lipglass in Flight of Fancy, which is in every sense of the word, a blind purchase. I went to MAC counter with my sister to get our cousin a present. And I somehow purchased this? I didn’t even know it was an LE shade from the Glamourdaze collection until now.
So, yeah. An attempt to at least use each of these items once.
More and more, I am realizing that I have so much stuff. And yet. The wanting continues. Still, this has been fun! If you’re lamenting your material accumulation, stop purchasing more items and start shopping around your own stash. I always find something beautiful that I wish I used more often. 🙂

Everything is Bears, man! Oh Shiro, I want to buy stuff from you just for the shade names.
I have a couple of those nyx eyeliners too, and sadly they seem to not be very long-wearing. I sweat it out in no time. 😦
Right? LOL that was the lure for me, but I’m glad they’re of excellent quality.
I like all the looks especially look no.2! I have been looking at my stash too trying to rediscover old favorites but I haven’t been good at doing it regularly. You’ve inspired me to make it a weekly thing!
Thank you, Shev. 🙂 LOL I’m trying to do this every week! I find that it makes me look forward to using some products that I’m eyeing for the next week. So that’s good. 🙂
Hi Carina! Please let me know once you find a dupe for Betty Bright!!! Thanks!
The second look looks gorgeous with your eyes 🙂 I’m excited to see what you come up with!
Thank you, Olivia!
