Just a Hint of Cranberry for Autumn

Here’s a subtle jewel-toned gradient—a perfect look for fall! We don’t have four seasons here in Manila, but I still seem to pattern my makeup accordingly, for some reason. I think the natural inclination towards the end of the year is to go a little bit darker and vampier, though I couldn’t tell you why! A really popular direction is to also incorporate lots of berry colors, whether it be on your eyes, cheeks, or lips.

Look - Hint of Cranberry

The focus of this look is the little peek of cranberry down at the end. I kept the rest of the face bare. Because I have no imagination.

Look - Hint of Cranberry - Eyes

STEPS:
1. Cover the entire lid with a blackened purple base. (shu uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Painting Liner in Blackish Satin Purple)
2. Pat on a cool, periwinkle blue with violet undertones on the inner two-thirds of the lid. (Art Deco 82)
3. Apply a midtone cranberry color on the outer third of the lid. (Stylenanda 3 Concept Eyes #Saturn*)
4. Blend the two colors together.
5. Add a matte ochre shade on the crease to transition the shadows and blend it out. (theBalm Sultry)
6. Line upper lashline with a black liner for definition. (Maybelline Master Liner BK-1*)

Look - Hint of Cranberry - Eye Stuff

I’ve been enjoying this 3CE Eyeshadow a ton, which is weird because I usually go for neutrals or purples. Still, I’ll take it! 🙂

Look - Hint of Cranberry 2

For the rest of my face, I just added clear mascara to groom my brows, a neutral blush for warmth (NYX Raisin), and a rosy sheer gloss (Le Métier de Beauté “Esthetique” from Bauhaus Kaleidoscope Lip Kit).

I hope you found this helpful and easy to follow. I really love the transition into the cranberry; it’s sort of like how we’re easing into fall and winter. 🙂

  1. I like this look on you, Carinz. I shy away from colors like these on the eyes but seeing how great they look on you, makes me think I can keribellz them, too. Hihi.
