Hello! Long time no see. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but it’s been a while since I posted a new look/FOTD. It’s been a bit quiet on the makeup front over here, but mainly because I’ve really been taking care of so many other things. I hope y’all still remember me! /end dramatics
Here’s a New Old Face face that I wore today. 🙂 It’s been similar to what I’ve been wearing the past few weeks, though I’ve only decided to wear more of my bold lip colors… pretty much now.
The New
New here are my eyebrow product and my lipstick (well, that’s new-ish). I’ve been enjoying the new K-Palette 24H 2 Day Tattoo 2Way Eyebrow Pencil* which is similar to the one I have been using for the past few months, only the marker tip is replaced with a pencil tip. Review is forthcoming, but I’m loving how it performs so far. My lip product is an ILIA Lipstick in Ink Pot, which I am strangely obsessed with, even though I have a sort of aversion to purple lipstick. I kind of really like it!
The Old
Base is just sunscreen + the K-Palette Cover Control 0 Kuma Concealer in Type 1*, which I powdered down with my trusty Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. I used all of the shades (Dim Light to set concealer and T-zone, Incandescent Light to highlight cheekbones, Radiant Light for some shade~ and warmth).
For my eyes, I used a very old favorite: MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study. Wow, right? I haven’t used this in a long-ass time. I’m happy to report that the consistency is still great and my pot hasn’t dried out just yet. My eye makeup is three shades from my Cle de Peau Eye Color Quad in 307 Stellar Gaze: the lightest on the lid, the warm orange in my outer crease, and the deep eggplant on the outer third of my lid, just close to the lash line.
Of course, I have to have a slick of K-Palette Rose Scented Liquid Eyeliner*.

Lovely look! The lipstick looks so good! I really need to check out the Ilia range 🙂
Tasha // shiwashiful.
ILIA’s great! It’s a green beauty brand that has such a great range of color. Soooo good.
I have two MAC paint pots that kind of old na (plus I hardly use them) and they don’t seem to dry out nga. Maybe that’s what you pay for! My Maybelline creams shadows on the other hand have changed in consistency.
Aaaand I think the ILIA shade looks good on you! Yay for purples! 🙂 See you, Carina (because I really always seem to bump into you haha)!
*cream shadows
do you guys use the MAC Paint Pot as actual cream shadow or just as a primer? I find that it creases on me and I wonder if it’s just me
My lighter colour “Vintage Selection” creases (or at least seems to because the glitters settle into folds), but the darker “Eclair” does not… So I guess there’s a bit of inconsistency across the shades. I don’t have any of the mattes so can’t comment on those.
Yeah the glittery/shimmery ones tend to crease more.
I use it as a primer. 🙂 It eventually creases on me when I wear alone, but when I top with a powder/eyeshadow, it’s fine.
Yeah, grabe the Maybelline ones I have are so dry! I don’t know what to do with them. 😦
Yay, thanks! We should see each other deliberately and have a makeup day with the others :))
I’m thinking maybe that’s why you didn’t like Colour Pop Lumiere as much. That lipstick has so much blue that it almost looks purple.
I like the Lumiere, but it’s just always too blue, like bluer than I remember/expect it to be when I put it on, haha!
I love the Ambient Lighting palette! I just got mine around September/October and I’ve hit pan on almost two shades already!
That’s awesome! I use it all the time, but it’s soooo not close to hitting pan. HAHA. It’s crazy! I got mine like a year ago.
Strangely, the paint pots don’t look like they have vacuum-sealed caps. In fact, they look a bit loose all the time. But yeah, mine does retain its quality naman.
Weird no? I store them upside down and that’s supposed to help them stay creamy.
MAC Paint Pots are my best friend. They never dry out! Or I have yet to see that happen, anyway. Great post!

I keep hearing people’s pots drying up, and I’m like “NOOOOO” but thankfully that has yet to happen to me!
Thank you!
Where did you get your top?
Hi, Uniqlo lang, but quite a while ago.
